With 3 weekly frequencies and more than 3,000 seats per month, Caleños will be able to connect, non-stop, with the main tourist destination in the United States
On the takeoff of flight AV216 today at 9:00 am from Cali to Orlando, Avianca inaugurated a new direct route and continues to bet on a flexible offer for everyone, to connect the different cities of Colombia and the United States.
With this route, Avianca adds 3 weekly frequencies to the market, which will be operated in the A320 fleet with capacity for 150 passengers, for a total offer of 3,000 seats per month.
The inaugurated route is in addition to the one already operated by the company between Bogotá and Orlando, which has 5 weekly frequencies of the same A320 fleet, and which has 6 thousand monthly seats available to air transport users.
“We have proposed to inaugurate 50 direct routes in the next 3 years with the aim of continuing to connect Colombia and the world with a competitive, flexible, and simplified offer. Orlando is a key city for having established itself as the main tourist destination in the United States with more than 70 million visitors a year. At Avianca, we are committed to continuing to support the reactivation of tourism and the local economy, but also of all the destinations that today make up our network of more than 90 routes, ”said Ana María Copete, Avianca’s Colombia Sales Director.
This is the fifth direct international route that Avianca opens in 2021 after San Salvador – Ontario; San José – Miami; Medellin – Cancun; and Medellín – Punta Cana. Currently, Avianca operates 99 routes, which have more than 1,300 weekly frequencies and represent more than 370 thousand weekly seats.
