Concert Special ‘Juan Luis Guerra: Entre Mar Y Palmeras’ Debuts June 3 On HBO Max


Santo Domingo, DR.- The international icon Juan Luis Guerra presents a unique live concert from Miches, one of the most exotic beaches in the Dominican Republic.

The famous Dominican composer, musician, producer and singer Juan Luis Guerra performed a historic concert on one of the most beautiful and lush beaches of Miches, on the east coast of the Dominican Republic. JUAN LUIS GUERRA: ENTRE MAR Y PALMERAS premieres on Thursday, June 3 at 9:00 pm on HBO.

Accompanied by his legendary band 4.40, Guerra performs before the waves of the sea and the beautiful palm trees, in that incredible Caribbean setting, performing a repertoire that combines his classics and recent hits. In addition, he offers the public an intimate interpretation of some of the arrangements present in his most recent audiovisual work: Privé.

JUAN LUIS GUERRA: ENTRE MAR Y PALMERAS, produced by Loud And Live Studios, was filmed during the Covid-19 pandemic with a team of more than 75 people, 20 musicians and a dozen attendees, who followed rigorous health security protocols and social distance. This special concert is a Guerra Films production and is directed by Jean Guerra, the artist’s eldest son, who commanded his most recent audiovisual projects.

In a setting of impressive and inspiring beauty, the show will bring joy to the Dominicans in these difficult times, thanks to the music full of hope, love and happiness of Juan Luis Guerra, with his intense meringues, his sauces and the classic bachatas. About Juan Luis Guerra

Juan Luis Guerra is a successful and award-winning musician, as well as one of the talents of the Dominican Republic with international recognition. After studying at the Berklee College of Music, he returned to his country, where he recorded his first album, Soplando, together with a group of local musicians who became known as “Juan Luis Guerra y la 440”. In 1989, his album Ojalá Que Llueva Café led him to international fame. In 2007, he launched La Llave de mi Corazón , with which he won the Grammy®, several Latin Grammys® and the Billboard Awards, among other important awards.
