The Dominican President Luis Abinader together with the Minister of Tourism David Collado visited the construction of the Hilton Garden Inn, La Romana to participate in the act that marks the beginning of the construction of the property that will require an investment of US $ 17 million. dollars and will generate 300 direct jobs for the tourism industry.
This 127-room hotel complex will be located in Caleta, a project whose majority investor is the Dominican Major League Baseball player Edwin Encarnación, thus demonstrating confidence in the economic and tourist development of the country.
The officials have also opened the Bulevar Turístico de la Salud, which gives access to the pedestrian street of Playa Caleta. This work was an imperative for the development of tourism and the local economy.
