Dominican Republic seeks to reactivate demand in Central Asia

The Central Asia Tourist Promotion Office participates in virtual sessions with Ukrainian and Kazakh operators consolidating the Kiev-LRM flight

After the extension of the Kiev-LRM flight chain in the aircraft of the Ukrainian flag line UIA, the Tourist Promotion Office (OPT) in Central Asia, participated in virtual sessions with flight consolidators in order to commercialize the program in the markets of this destination.

To this end, webinars were held with a Kazakh tour operator Kompas, and another Ukrainian TPG, both consolidators of the flight program from Kiev to La Romana.

At the request of both tour operators and in order to feed the flights with customers from Kazakhstan, special agendas were scheduled to deal with important issues of entry to the country and post-COVID measures and thus present packages of the TTOO in question, calculated for the market from Kazakhstan with departure from Almaty and Nur-Sultan.

The Kazakhstan market is recovering from the effects of the pandemic, returning to the country the important traditional routes, therefore, the frequency of connections between Kazakhstan and Kiev is increasing.

This allows the destination to be promoted through existing programs from Ukraine, which at the current post-pandemic moment are the most feasible routes during the suspension of direct flights from Moscow that used to be the preferable connections from the Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan markets.

Among other important issues raised in the meetings, the Tourism Academy prepared by this OPT was presented as a useful tool and especially oriented to the markets of Central Asia and the Caucasus. It consists of 3 modules: “Knowing the country”, “Tourist areas” and “Segments of the tourist market”.

The first stage of the academy ends on May 01, the graduates of which will be applicants to participate in the fam trip to the Dominican Republic, provided that they meet all the selection conditions and are nominated by the jury in which the TTOO will participate. of the market together with the direction of the OPT.
