Iberostar Hotels & Resorts recognizes operators and travel agencies

On the nights of May 24 and 25, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts held meetings with travel agencies and tour operators in Lima, Peru, with the presence of more than 65 travel agents and 50 representatives of tour operators with whom it works in the Peruvian market. . The objective is to recognize the support provided in sales in the past year 2021 and in the course of the current year and to continue to be loyal to Iberostar hotels in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica and Brazil. Present at the events were João Abegão, Director of Sales for LATAM, Yoanki Jesús Nieves, Director of Marketing for LATAM, Marlene Iannacone, Business Development Manager (BDM) from Peru and Dayana Vargas, Key Account Manager (KAM) from the Peruvian market.

The events took place at the Iberostar Selection Miraflores, a city hotel of the chain known for its resorts that was opened at the end of 2021. This establishment is in the center of Lima, in a privileged location in the Miraflores neighborhood, offering an experience unique and exalting Peruvian gastronomy with its specialty restaurants Ortega & Huamán and Tapería 27 Tapas. Both under the tutelage of renowned Peruvian chef Carlos Testino. In its commitment to leading responsible tourism, the Iberostar Selection Miraflores hotel is the first plastic-free hotel in Lima, valuing local gastronomy and supporting both the environment and local communities.

Como parte de las actividades, se expusieron las novedades de Iberostar Hotels & Resorts como las próximas reformas en los hoteles Iberostar Selection Cancún y Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites, en México; Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus, en República Dominicana y la construcción de un nuevo restaurante en Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Bávaro. Se destacó también el crecimiento en 2022 de las ventas en Perú en un 85% vs el año 2019, destacando el crecimiento de los destinos República Dominicana en un 157% y de los hoteles de México en un 44%.

Among the novelties presented, emphasis was placed on the steady progress of Iberostar’s strategies in terms of sustainability. Other novelties on display were the redefinition of the wedding offer by presenting Weddings By Iberostar as Imagined By You, the new wedding and honeymoon programme. In order to enrich the customer experience and promote sustainability, this new program, framed within the responsible tourism proposal, personalizes the experience of couples and their guests.
