Orlando, the world capital of theme parks


According to the American Automobile Association, Inc. (AAA), Orlando is the world capital of theme parks, coupled with the different culinary experiences and its unique hotels will make the destination the best choice for the next vacation

George Aguel, president and CEO of Visit Orlando, said that destination remains at the forefront with new immersive experiences and unparalleled hospitality that make visitors return year after year. “This memorable combination is what makes Orlando the destination with the highest number of visitors in the United States, with a record number of 75 million in 2018.”

With the new expansions of the Theme Parks, hotels and exclusive gastronomic adventures, 2019 will become one of Orlando’s biggest summers so far, including the Universal Orlando Resort, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

Universal Orlando Resort’s new attraction, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, opened on June 13. This attraction will take visitors to the heart of the Forbidden Forest so they can get up close and personal with the various fantastic creatures that inhabit the forest. This has been described as the most themed attraction of all Universal to date.

At the Walt Disney World Resort, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open on August 29. Here no visitor will want to miss the opportunity to visit the planet Batuu and enjoy any of the two galactic attractions, immersive thematic shops, the restaurant and the meeting point with the characters of the saga.

Also Walt Disney World Resort will bring the excitement of basketball to Disney Springs from August 12 with the opening of the NBA Experience. This area will feature 13 interactive games and activities designed especially for fans of this sport in a unique attraction of its kind.

And Wild Florida will extend 30 hectares plus its safari area with an entirely new section. It will have vehicles for visitors to drive on their own in new and exciting areas never before explored. More than 100 native species of animals from Florida will be part of this extension that will also have a zip line for users to walk the park from above.
