Bethesda, MD, USA / Punta Cana, La Altagracia, DR October 2022.- Marriott International, Inc. announced the signing of an agreement with the Puntacana Group and Mac Hotels to begin construction of the W All-Inclusive Punta Cana in Uvero Alto , an adults-only all-inclusive luxury property in the Dominican Republic. This hotel is expected to be the first W Hotels property to market and one of the first W All-Inclusive resorts globally.
W All-Inclusive Punta Cana Uvero Alto is expected to feature 349 rooms with balconies and plunge pools, as well as several suites. Featuring dynamic adult-focused programming, plans for the resort include a spa with 11 treatment rooms, a shopping area, three pools with swim-up bars, and 11 restaurant and bar options.

The deal is part of Grupo Puntacana’s diversification and expansion strategies. The company’s pioneering work has contributed to the development of more than 40,000 rooms in the eastern region of the Dominican Republic, which generates the equivalent of 6.8% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the tourism sector and has become in the province with the highest per capita income in the country.
